Meet Dr Helen Spinks,
founder of Eascent.

After more than 20 years working in mental health, I became increasingly aware of how deeply stress, overstimulation, emotional pressure, and disconnection affect people across every environment; from leadership teams, work environments and healthcare settings to hospitality spaces and private life. Despite different contexts, the underlying challenges are often the same: thinking clearly under pressure, regulating stress, reconnecting with ourselves and others, and finding moments of genuine presence in increasingly demanding lives. This understanding led me to develop a stripped-back, results-oriented approach designed for modern environments and real human needs. First developed in 1998 through my work as a psychologist, meditator, and facilitator, the method combines meditation, breathwork, grounding, embodied awareness, and nervous system regulation into experiences that are accessible, practical, and easy to integrate into daily life. Over the years, the approach has been refined through work within health services in the UK and New Zealand, as well as with individuals, groups, and organisations across a wide range of settings. From leadership teams navigating pressure and uncertainty, to guests seeking meaningful calm and reconnection, to healthcare environments supporting emotional balance and recovery, the feedback has remained consistently positive across all ages and backgrounds. Eascent was created from the belief that clarity, calm, emotional balance, and human connection should not require years of training, complicated rituals, or inaccessible programs. These experiences should feel natural, grounded, and adaptable to the realities of modern life. Whether supporting performance, care, hospitality, or personal transformation, the intention remains the same: to create simple yet meaningful experiences that help people reconnect with themselves, others, and the present moment. Meaningful change does not need to be complicated to be profound.
